A first-generation son tries to teach his immigrant father how to play football when the small talk slowly dives into a much deeper discussion about fitting in a place where he doesn't belong.

This project is part of my journey into filmmaking and grad school. I've been studying, reading, and writing a bunch towards my applications and my family decided to help out with a film idea I had. So over the course of July 2020, we made a short film.

I mainly worked with my family but I also had the chance to work with Tyler Hawes as the composer and performed by Michael Anderko. It was a lot of fun to use traditional Slovak instruments and I think it added a lot to the overall tone.
